Watch University of Vermont Extension’s Northwest Crops and Soils team member, Rosalie Madden determine hop harvest dry matter and learn how to calculate hop moisture in the oast. Do your dry matter tests first, to help you determine dried sample size, based on your target 8-10% moisture content in your dried hops. Embed a sample in a mesh or onion bag and keep weighing until hit reaches the identified target weight.
