Insecticide/Miticide label expanded for control of spider mites on hops

The Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently announced the approval of an URMULE registration for Agri-mek® Insecticide/Miticide for control of spider mites on hops in Canada.

Agri-mek® was already labeled for use on some tree fruits, berries, celery, onions and potatoes in Canada.

The following is provided as an abbreviated, general outline only. Make first application when mites first appear but before the economic threshold is exceeded. Make a second application if monitoring indicates that it is necessary. Users should consult the complete label before using Agri-mek®.

Users should consult the complete label before using Crop Target Rate (mL/ha) Applications Interval Hops spider mites including 2- spotted mites.

This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming crops or weeds. Do not apply this product or allow drift to blooming crops or weeds if bees are visiting the treatment area.

Agri-mek® is also toxic to aquatic organisms, fish and wildlife.

Do not contaminate off-target areas or aquatic habitats when spraying or when cleaning and rinsing spray equipment or containers.

Follow all other precautions and directions for use on the Agri-mek® label carefully.
