Ontario Hops are at a crossroad and we need your support!
For 2026, we are making membership FREE – yes that’s right, free to join!
Of course you must have plants in the ground to join, but the goal is to have Ontario hops be a bigger part of the Ontario brewing industry. We have been working close with the OCB and are looking at ways to get more ON hops used in their recipes.
Your membership benefits include:
- As an association, we are the contact for OMAFRA and are the voice for the growers.
- Topics such as pesticide approval and priority uses as well as OMAFRA and Agriculture Canada studies on hops all start with the association.
- Discounts on coir and trellis equipment are also available as members.
The use of the BrewON seal is also made available to members. This is an impactful addition for breweries especially during these turbulent times with tariffs.

Who is BrewON?
OMAFRA’s Brewer’s Guide to Ontario-Grown Hop Varieties
In 2022, OMAFRA produced the Brewer’s Guide to Ontario-Grown Hop Varieties, intended as a resource to connect Ontario brewers with hop varieties currently grown and available from Ontario hop growers.
Information on individual hop varieties have been compiled to assist brewers in selecting the very best Ontario-grown hops for their brewing needs.
The Brewer’s Guide to Ontario-Grown Hop Varieties was written and produced by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) in collaboration with the Ontario Hop Growers’ Association and the Ontario Craft Brewers.
